Terms of Contract
- Faculty contracts run for 1 year initially, extendable by up to 2 further years based on satisfactory performance, subject to a maximum of 3 years, age 70, or joining of a regular faculty member — whichever comes first.
- Senior Resident and Medical Officer contracts follow the same 1+2 year structure, ending at age 50, or the joining of a regular incumbent — whichever comes first.
- No private practice is permitted in any capacity after joining.
- No service benefits apply — this includes Provident Fund, Pension, Gratuity, Medical Allowance/Benefits, Seniority or Promotion.
- Hostel accommodation/quarters may be provided where possible, but cannot be claimed as a right; availing it means forgoing HRA.
- Resignation requires one month's advance notice or a deposit equal to one month's salary; unapproved absence beyond 7 days is treated as voluntary abandonment and leads to automatic termination.
- Daily attendance must be recorded both manually and via the Aadhaar Enabled Biometric Attendance System (AEBAS).
