Selection Process
There's no written test for this apprenticeship. Selection is purely merit-based, calculated from the percentage of marks scored in the relevant qualifying examination, followed by certificate verification for shortlisted candidates.
- Trade Apprentices: Merit from percentage scored in all subjects of the NCVT ITI exam
- Diploma/Technician Apprentices: Merit from percentage scored in the Diploma
- Graduate Engineering Apprentices: Merit from percentage scored in BE/B.Tech
- Graduate Non-Engineering Apprentices: Merit from percentage scored across all semesters of B.Com/BBA
- Certificate Verification for Shortlisted Candidates
If a candidate's marksheet shows CGPA/grades instead of percentage, the conversion is done by multiplying the CGPA by 10, or by averaging semester-wise/year-wise percentages as applicable. In case of a tie at the cut-off, the senior-most candidate by date of birth gets preference.
