All 436 posts under this drive are backlog vacancies, reserved category-wise for SEBC, SC and ST candidates only — there's no unreserved (UR) quota here. Of the total, 18 posts (06-W) are set aside for Persons with Disabilities with 40% or more permanent disability, and 4 posts (01-W) are set aside for Sports Persons; both groups will be adjusted against the reserved category they belong to.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

Applicants need a Bachelor's degree in Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) or an equivalent degree from a recognised university, college or institution in India or abroad. Candidates holding foreign degrees must produce conversion certificates recognised by the Veterinary Council of India (VCI), and every applicant needs a valid Registration Certificate under Section 21 of the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970, obtained on or before the closing date of the application.

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2026)

• Minimum Age: 21 Years
• Maximum Age: 47 Years
• Candidates must be born not earlier than 2 January 1979 and not later than 1 January 2005.
• This recruitment is open only to SEBC, SC and ST category candidates.

Age Relaxation

Apart from the PWD relaxation mentioned above, the prescribed age limits cannot be relaxed under any other circumstance.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will draw pay in Level-12, Cell-1 of the Pay Matrix under Rule-3 of the ORSP Rules, 2017, along with Dearness Allowance and other allowances as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time.

Selection Process

Selection is based entirely on a Written Examination consisting of two papers, followed by document verification for shortlisted candidates.

• Written Examination – Paper I: Veterinary Science (400 Marks)
• Written Examination – Paper II: Animal Science (400 Marks)
• Document Verification (called at twice the number of vacancies, or 5 where vacancy is up to 2)
• Medical Examination for Selected Candidates

The fee is refunded only to candidates who actually appear for the written examination, and it will be credited back to the original payment mode used at the time of the transaction.
