CPRI Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection method varies by post:
- Engineering Officer Gr.1: Selection purely on the basis of a valid GATE score
- Engineering Assistant & Scientific Assistant: Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by a job-specific practical skill test
- Technician Gr.1: CBT performance plus qualifying a Trade Test
- Technical Attendant Gr.1 & Assistant Gr. II: CBT performance
- MTS Gr.1: CBT plus Trade/Proficiency Test
In case of a tie in CBT or GATE score, the older candidate by date of birth is placed higher in the merit list. Examination centres are Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Delhi, and Kolkata, and CPRI reserves the right to allot any centre. Exam venue, date, and timing will be communicated through the admit card.
