Educational Qualification

Candidates must hold B.Sc Nursing with 50% marks, or GNM (A Grade Nursing Diploma) with 50% marks, from a recognized University or Institution.

Other Eligibility Conditions

• Applicant must be registered with HPNRC, Shimla-06.

Salary Details

Selected candidates will be engaged as Assistant Staff Nurse for a period of 5 years on a fixed monthly consolidated honorarium of ₹25,000. This is an engagement, not a regular government appointment - ASNs will not be treated as Government employees and have no right to regularisation against any sanctioned Staff Nurse post. They are entitled to TA/DA for official duty tours, Medical benefits under HIMCARE/Ayushman Bharat, two casual leaves a month, and maternity leave after two years of service, as applicable under the policy.

Selection Process

Selection is through a single-stage Computer Based Test or written screening test.

• Computer Based Test (CBT) / Written Screening Test - 120 marks, 1½ hours duration (or as decided by the Aayog)
• 120 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 1 mark, covering the prescribed essential qualification subject, General Knowledge (including HP-specific GK) and Current Affairs, plus Science, Logical Reasoning, Social Science, and General English & Hindi of Matric standard

Minimum qualifying marks are 45% for General category candidates and 40% for SC/ST/OBC/Ward of Freedom Fighters candidates - relaxable up to 40% and 35% respectively if too few candidates qualify. Where the CBT is conducted in multiple shifts, scores are normalized using the Z-Score Method before the merit list is prepared.

Fee must be paid online via Credit Card, Debit Card, or Net Banking. No other mode of payment is accepted, and once paid, the fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any future recruitment.
